David Hart

Chief Executive Officer

David Hart is Chief Executive Officer of TRICOR with 25 years of diverse experience in business, government and workforce development. Hart joined TRICOR eight years ago as Chief Operations Officer (COO), where he was responsible for TRICOR operations and offender programming, located in the Tennessee Department of Correction facilities. Under his leadership as COO, TRICOR’s operations expanded to include foodservice, flooring manufacturing, and Cumberland Products Group operations.

 

In his role as CEO, Hart is responsible for the overall management of the organization, including 106 employees, and four business units in 13 locations. He will also lead development and implementation of policies, growth strategies and opportunities and serve as the primary contact to the Tennessee Department of Correction and Tennessee General Assembly.

 

Hart is also a leader among the correctional industry associations. He is a subject matter expert and presenter for the National Correctional Industries Association (NCIA) webinar series’ on the topic, Common Sense Approach to Inventory Management – How to Track Inventory from Raw Materials to Finished Goods; and has presented at NCIA conferences on the topic, Successful Food Programs Created by Innovative Partnerships Between Departments of Correction and Correctional Industries, and PIE Strategies: How to Make Them Work for You. Hart is certified as a trainer for the National Institute in Corrections (NIC) Thinking for a Change, an integrated cognitive behavioral change program focused on cognitive restructuring, social skills development and problem solving skills. He has also successfully completed their National Industries Leadership Training.

 

As a leader in the State of Tennessee, Hart was selected and completed the inaugural 2010 class for LEAD Tennessee and the 2011 class for Tennessee Government Executive Institute, Tennessee’s premier leadership programs. He has been an examiner for the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence and conducted workshops on the principles for driving excellence in the organization.

 

Hart holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from Truman University in Missouri.
