Jenkins Reappointed to Board of Directors for TRICOR

Nashville, Tennessee – Decosta Jenkins has been reappointed by Governor Phil Bredesen to the Board of Directors for Tennessee Rehabilitative Initiative in Correction (TRICOR). He has served on TRICOR’s Board of Directors since 2003 and currently serves as the treasurer.

jenkins&bredesenweb Jenkins is Chief Executive Officer of Nashville Electric Service (NES). Before his promotion to President, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for NES. Prior to joining NES, Jenkins was with Deloitte and Touche for 11 years, where he worked in the audit department with both public and private entities.

Jenkins graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Jenkins serves on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries, the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, the Salvation Army, Backfield in Motion, YMCA of Middle Tennessee, and Saint Thomas Health Services. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Samaritan Ministries/Project S.E.E. and serves on the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Finance Committee.

Tennessee Rehabilitative Initiative in Correction was created in 1994 by the Tennessee General Assembly and is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Governor. TRICOR provides an environment where offenders learn work ethics and marketable skills which reduce recidivism and assist individuals with a successful reintegration into society. TRICOR’s philosophy is to effectively manage revenue supported industry, agriculture, and service operations for the purpose of employing and training offenders, providing quality products and services for our government and non-profit customers, and assisting in post-release employment. TRICOR manages a financially successful organization without receiving any state appropriated funds.
