| Bradley Reappointed to Board of Directors for TRICOR |

Nashville, Tennessee – Christine Bradley, PhD has been reappointed by Governor Phil Bredesen to the Board of Directors for Tennessee Rehabilitative Initiative in Correction (TRICOR). She has served on TRICOR’s Board of Directors since 2005 and currently serves as the board’s member-at-large.
In the early 1990’s Bradley was appointed chief of staff for Mayor Phillip Bredesen, in Nashville, Tennessee during a time when the city was growing to include a new art museum, a professional football team, and a state of the art arena. She also served on the cabinet for Governor McWherter as the first woman to head up the Department of Correction in Tennessee. In this capacity Bradley implemented Total Quality Management, was able to obtain full accreditation status for the department, and received the first CEO award presented by the American Correctional Association. Bradley received a BS from Bowling Green State University, her masters degree from St. Bonaventure University, and her doctorate degree in administration from Tennessee State University. Recently, she was named one of the Nashville Business Journal’s 30 Women of Influence. Tennessee Rehabilitative Initiative in Correction was created in 1994 by the Tennessee General Assembly and is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Governor. TRICOR provides an environment where offenders learn work ethics and marketable skills which reduce recidivism and assist individuals with a successful reintegration into society. TRICOR’s philosophy is to effectively manage revenue supported industry, agriculture, and service operations for the purpose of employing and training offenders, providing quality products and services for our government and non-profit customers, and assisting in post-release employment. TRICOR manages a financially successful organization without receiving any state appropriated funds. |
